Psalm 103:13
King James Version
13 Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
Is it possible for things to be really so simple?
For sure!
Once you're born again, the Holy Spirit of God starts teaching you simply, joyfully, and precisely.
Spirit makes everything so simple.
Especially if you have the heart for simplicity.
Spirit can answer ANY question.
No matter how complicated it may be.
No matter how complex the subject.
Such as GOD.
Like, what do you think God does (or did)?
The very answers I found, define who God is, in my heart.
Here's what Spirit and Scripture told me about God:
God creates.
Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning
God created the heaven
and the earth.
God gave life.
Genesis 1:26-27 (KJV)
26 And God said,
Let us make man in our image,
after our likeness:
and let them have dominion
over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air,
and over the cattle,
and over all the earth,
and over every creeping thing
that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God created he him;
male and female created he them.
God commands.
Exodus 20:3-4 (KJV)
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,
or that is in the earth beneath,
or that is in the water under the earth.
God loves.
John 3:16 (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
God helps.
Psalm 34:17 (KJV)
17 The righteous cry,
and the Lord heareth,
and delivereth them
out of all their troubles.
God guides.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
God confounds.
1 Corinthians 1:27 (KJV)
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world
to confound the wise;
and God hath chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the things which are mighty;
God blesses.
Genesis 12:3 (KJV)
3 And I will bless them that bless thee,
and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth
be blessed.
God comforts.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV)
3 Blessed be God,
even the Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies,
and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort them
which are in any trouble,
by the comfort wherewith we ourselves
are comforted of God.
God disciplines.
Revelation 3:19 (KJV)
19 As many as I love,
I rebuke and chasten:
be zealous therefore,
and repent.
God punishes.
Deuteronomy 5:9 (KJV)
9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them,
nor serve them:
for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children
unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
God forgives.
1 John 1:9 (KJV)
9 If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
God feeds.
Exodus 16:4 (KJV)
4 Then said the Lord unto Moses,
Behold,
I will rain bread from heaven for you;
and the people shall go out
and gather a certain rate every day,
that I may prove them,
whether they will walk in my law,
or no.
God fights.
Exodus 14:14 (KJV)
14 The Lord shall fight for you,
and ye shall hold your peace.
God saves.
Deuteronomy 20:4 (KJV)
4 For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you,
to fight for you against your enemies,
to save you.
He's really ONE TRUE FATHER, isn't He?
Have we thanked Him enough?
Are we faithful to Him?
Have we worshiped Him?
Do we love Him?
Aha!
He's got questions of His own.
We better be prepared to answer, too!
Families are give, and take.
You know that.
