STUDENT of POWER

Jeremiah 32:17

King James Version

17 Ah Lord God!

behold,

thou hast made the heaven and the earth

by thy great power and stretched out arm,

and there is nothing too hard for thee:

Would you know power if you saw it?

I had no idea it was POWER I was seeking.

Not for myself.

But to know the SOURCE of ALL POWER.

That I might know ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

That I might believe in something real.

That I may share something real with you.

Of course, I've always known it was GOD.

But I had no idea how to know His TRUTH.

I had not read the Bible then.

GOD took pity on this searching heart, and finally revealed who HE was.

THROUGH SCRIPTURE.

Through His SON.

And through His SPIRIT.

And here's what was revealed:

There is no power, but GOD.

And He wrought it all in CHRIST.

Ephesians 1:17-23

King James Version

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of glory,

may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation

in the knowledge of him:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;

that ye may know what is the hope of his calling,

and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance

in the saints,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power

to us-ward who believe,

according to the working of his mighty power,

20 Which he wrought in Christ,

when he raised him from the dead,

and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality,

and power,

and might,

and dominion,

and every name that is named,

not only in this world,

but also in that which is to come:

22 And hath put all things under his feet,

and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23 Which is his body,

the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

As born again the past 30 months, SPIRIT opened my eyes to the MAGNIFICENCE, and MAJESTY of GOD.

And I am in TOTAL AWE.

I could not write enough blogs and posts to testify of it.

I could not share enough discoveries with you.

The articles literally spill out of my heart and spirit each day.

This lifetime is not enough for me to understand all the TREASURES of the BIBLE.

EVERY verse is a treasure.

To have an idea the MAGNIFICENCE of the LORD, listen to what apostle John said about the accomplishments of JESUS:

John 21:25

King James Version

25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did,

the which,

if they should be written every one,

I suppose that even the world itself

could not contain the books that should be written.

Amen.

Has that sunk in yet?

I only BELIEVE in the LORD JESUS.

I only ADORE GOD.

I only LISTEN to SPIRIT.

What power have you bought into?

MEDITATING upon a VERSE

Psalm 119:97

King James Version

97 O how love I thy law!

it is my meditation all the day.

If you are a student of SPIRIT, loving every moment you're studying the WORD of GOD, you'd want to check how other Bible versions translate an important verse.

I'm actually doing this for my own studies, but I invite you to have a look, and enjoy the process, too!

Consider this an adventure into GOD's WORD WONDERLAND.

Here's a sample verse SPIRIT and I featured recently:

Philippians 3:20-21

Christian Standard Bible

20 Our citizenship is in heaven,

and we eagerly wait for a Savior from there,

the Lord Jesus Christ.

21 He will transform the body of our humble condition

into the likeness of his glorious body,

by the power that enables him to subject everything to himself.

I needed to compare it with my usual King James Version (KJV):

Philippians 3:20-21

King James Version

20 For our conversation is in heaven;

from whence also we look for the Saviour,

the Lord Jesus Christ:

21 Who shall change our vile body,

that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body,

according to the working whereby he is able

even to subdue all things unto himself.

Take note of other translations:

Philippians 3:20-21

21st Century King James Version

Philippians 3:20-21

American Standard Version

Philippians 3:20-21

Amplified Bible

And from there we eagerly await [the coming of] the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21 who, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself, will [not only] transform [but completely refashion] our earthly bodies so that they will be like His glorious resurrected body.

Philippians 3:20-21

J.B. Phillips New Testament

17-21 Let me be your example here, my brothers: let my example be the standard by which you can tell who are the genuine Christians among those about you. For there are many, of whom I have told you before and tell you again now, even with tears, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ. These men are heading for utter destruction—their god is their own appetite, their pride is in what they should be ashamed of, and this world is the limit of their horizon. But we are citizens of Heaven; our outlook goes beyond this world to the hopeful expectation of the saviour who will come from Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will re-make these wretched bodies of ours to resemble his own glorious body, by that power of his which makes him the master of everything that is.

Kehillah in Philippi 3:20-21

Orthodox Jewish Bible

20 But the torat haEzrakhut (citizenship-see 1:27) we conduct exists in Shomayim [Ep 2:6; MJ 12:22; Ga 4:26; 6:16], from where also we eagerly await a Moshi’a (Savior), a Go’el, Adoneinu Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua,

21 Who will transfigure the basar of our humiliation into the demut of the mode of being of the guf kavod of Moshiach, according to the pe’ulah (action, work—1:6; 2:13) of his ko’ach (power) [Ro 8:29;1C 15:43 53], even to the subjecting of all things to himself [1C 15:28]. T.N. The joyous tone of this letter is miraculous, given the fact that Rav Sha’ul is, as he is writing it, in danger of capital punishment by decapitation at anytime and without warning. But Sha’ul selflessly thinks about two quarreling women and the danger their quarrel poses to the kehillah in Philippi. He seems to have been leading up to this statement in 4:2: “I appeal to Euodias and I appeal to Syntyche, think the same thing in Adoneinu.” ]
