1 Timothy 6:19

19 Laying up in store for themselves 

a good foundation against the time to come, 

that they may lay hold on eternal life.

There is a way to study the Bible.

Simply, easily, and happily.

Here's how I got to do it.

And surely, it was not by self.

Strangely, or because it's my personality, the SPIRIT of GOD taught me differently, the day GOD made me born again in 2019.

He taught me to study the Bible quietly, at home, with not much coaching from others, but mostly through the ministrations of the, HOLY SPIRIT each moment.

SPIRIT made things very clear, and systematic, for me.

And if it's not clear, all I do is compare the King James Version, or KJV, with other Bible versions.

Eventually, SPIRIT and I developed a cool, self-teaching tool which we called "WORD study".

SPIRIT teaches me to teach myself.

That I may also teach others.

Early on, SPIRIT taught me to take any verse, a word at a time, or a phrase at a time.

2 Timothy 2:15

King James Version

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, 

a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, 

rightly dividing the word of truth.

I was learning quite effortlessly, so much so, SPIRIT and I ended up with 62 blogs so far.

Triggered by verses I'd hear from sermons, I found myself creating new blogs addressing certain themes, relevant to the times.

My eyes and ears were always open to the WORD of GOD.

He'd always give me clues, or prompts, and I'd be on it.

I also found, I don't get lost having so many blogs.

SPIRIT helps me organize everything, linking each blog, to the other.

Now, it's one, seamless whole.

All focusing on the WORD of GOD, as taught by SPIRIT, in honor of JESUS, for the GLORY of GOD.

Surely, GOD's way would be different for you.

And then again, my method might just work for you.

Assuming you're not born again yet, here's how it goes.

Or at least, this is how it went for me:

Accept you know nothing, and GOD will give you everything.

Acknowledge the sins you've committed.

Ask GOD for forgiveness.

Desire to become a new person.

Ask to know GOD's TRUTH.

Wait for His answer.

Being made born again by GOD is really astounding.

Others have tried; only GOD was able to make me born again.

He will then anoint you with His SPIRIT.

After which, all your lessons will begin.

Even if you've never touched a Bible before, you will be surprised at how easy it is to understand, and how easy it is to find answers about your life, work, future, and relationships.

The SPIRIT of GOD is "teacher of all things".

John 14:26

King James Version

26 But the Comforter, 

which is the Holy Ghost, 

whom the Father will send in my name, 

he shall teach you all things, 

and bring all things to your remembrance, 

whatsoever I have said unto you.

Now that you're born again, every time you have a question, pray to JESUS.

He promised to pray to the FATHER to send us the Father's SPIRIT, to guide us.

John 14:16

King James Version

16 And I will pray the Father, 

and he shall give you another Comforter, 

that he may abide with you for ever;

And every time you pray, wait for an answer.

The LORD will surely answer your questions.

I find, JESUS answers me immediately -- through key words, or phrases, which I search for online.

And they lead me to many verses.

I let SPIRIT choose the appropriate verse to use for our blogs.

My prayers are often accompanied by tears, because of the things I have in my heart.

I dearly wish to know GOD's TRUTH.

I dearly wish to know His WILL.

My only objective in prayer, is obedience.

Only GOD knows what's good for us.

I cannot pray for something that's not His will.

I leave EVERYTHING up to Him.

That's what being born again means.

You believe in JESUS.

You pray to Him.

You study the Bible.

You live by the Bible.

You share the Bible.

If you're really serious at wanting to understand the Bible, and to better self, and life, all you have to do is pray to GOD.

Be childlike with the FATHER.

JESUS encouraged us to be.

Matthew 18:3-4

3 And said, 

Verily I say unto you, 

Except ye be converted, 

and become as little children, 

ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself 

as this little child, 

the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Tell Him what is in your heart.

Even as He already knows.

Approach GOD with all humility.

For we really know nothing.

John 4:24

How to worship GOD?

Worship Him alone.

Have no other gods, for only GOD is GOD.

TRUE disciples worship GOD alone.

Even GOD's angels do not want to be worshiped.

See thou do it not:

The FIVE talents

 Matthew 25:14

King James Version

14 For the kingdom of heaven 

is as a man travelling into a far country, 

who called his own servants, 

and delivered unto them his goods.

Perhaps, it's my training as a journalist, aiming to get things right.

In all likelihood, it's being born again, and being taught by the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD each moment.

Calling my attention to DISCREPANCIES in Bible translations.

It all started with this verse:

Matthew 25:15

King James Version

15 And unto one he gave five talents, 

to another two, 

and to another one; 

to every man according to his several ability; 

and straightway took his journey.

Curious, I wondered what equivalent "five talents" referred to.

Spirit leads me to Scripture, where I check the Bible versions.

Lo, and behold!

Something didn't add up.

Are the translations actually getting it wrong?

Why should it matter what "talents" and "five talents" mean?

It matters to me, as student of SPIRIT.

I cannot be careless about the WORD of GOD.

I cannot presume to know, when I don't know.

I must get it right.

That's why I looked at the translations.

And here's what I found:

Matthew 25:15

Amplified Bible

15 To one he gave five [a]talents, to another, two, and to another, one, each according to his own ability; and then he went on his journey.

(A talent was a measurement of weight, usually 58-80 pounds. One talent of silver was worth more than 15 years’ wages. One talent of gold was worth even more.)

Matthew 25:15

Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

15 To one he gave five talents [probably about $5,000], to another two, to another one—to each in proportion to his own [a]personal ability. Then he departed and left the country.

I know I'm a nut about accuracy.

But that's how I honor the WORD of GOD.

That I get it right.

Thank GOD, His SPIRIT led me to this curious exercise today.

I really want to get GOD's WORD right.

I am a student, after all.

Only JESUS has RIGHT accounting.

May I be accounted right by Him.

NO desire for sophistication

The true born again, has no desire for sophistication.

We like simple.

Just Scripture.

To the believer, Scripture is easy to understand.

SPIRIT makes it so.

We rely totally on Scripture.

For its many merits.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, 

and is profitable for doctrine, 

for reproof, 

for correction, 

for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, 

thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

We have no desire for philosophy.

No desire to be a scholar.

We turn to SCRIPTURE.

We listen to SPIRIT.

The WORD of GOD suffices.

Answers all the questions we present.

Fills our heart with the answers.

Teaches us everything about GOD.

Teaches us about our destiny.

Explains to us the world's ways.

Instructs us what work to do.

Leads us to JESUS.

Lights our path.

Saves us.

What other education would we need?

All we've learned in the past, have been set aside.

They must conform to Scripture.

If they do not serve the WORD of GOD, we set it aside.

The WORD of GOD is JESUS.

John 1:1

King James Version

1 In the beginning was the Word, 

and the Word was with God, 

and the Word was God.

John 1:14

King James Version

14 And the Word was made flesh, 

and dwelt among us, 

(and we beheld his glory, 

the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) 

full of grace and truth.

11 And I saw heaven opened, 

and behold a white horse; 

and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, 

and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12 His eyes were as a flame of fire,

If the WORD of GOD is the Bible, and JESUS is the WORD of GOD, then JESUS is the BIBLE.

Believing in JESUS means, we believe in the Bible.

Believing in the Bible means, we believe in JESUS.

As born again, we serve Him alone.

That's why we urge believers to LIVE by the BIBLE.

It holds all of GOD's TRUTH.

And yes, JESUS loves children.

And we love Him, too.

to come unto me: 

for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

That's why we remain childlike with the LORD.

Forever obedient to His will.

PEACE reigns in our heart.

Jeremiah 32:17

17 Ah Lord God!

thou hast made the heaven and the earth 

by thy great power and stretched out arm, 

and there is nothing too hard for thee:

Would you know power if you saw it?

I had no idea it was POWER I was seeking.

Not for myself.

But to know the SOURCE of ALL POWER.

That I might know ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

That I might believe in something real.

That I may share something real with you.

Of course, I've always known it was GOD.

But I had no idea how to know His TRUTH.

I had not read the Bible then.

GOD took pity on this searching heart, and finally revealed who HE was.

THROUGH SCRIPTURE.

Through His SON.

And through His SPIRIT.

And here's what was revealed:

There is no power, but GOD.

And He wrought it all in CHRIST.

As born again the past 30 months, SPIRIT opened my eyes to the MAGNIFICENCE, and MAJESTY of GOD.

And I am in TOTAL AWE.

I could not write enough blogs and posts to testify of it.

I could not share enough discoveries with you.

The articles literally spill out of my heart and spirit each day.

This lifetime is not enough for me to understand all the TREASURES of the BIBLE.

EVERY verse is a treasure.

To have an idea the MAGNIFICENCE of the LORD, listen to what apostle John said about the accomplishments of JESUS:

MEDITATING upon a VERSE

 

Psalm 119:97

97 O how love I thy law! 

it is my meditation all the day.

If you are a student of SPIRIT, loving every moment you're studying the WORD of GOD, you'd want to check how other Bible versions translate an important verse.

I'm actually doing this for my own studies, but I invite you to have a look, and enjoy the process, too!

Consider this an adventure into GOD's WORD WONDERLAND.
